An essential resource

Hydrodistillation involves high square cubes of water.

Placing such an activity in Bagnères de Bigorre makes a lot of sense. Isn't it said that there are as many springs in Bagnères as there are letters in the alphabet? Water is a rich resource in Haute-Bigorre, but that doesn't mean we don't take care of it. On the contrary, we are well aware that a large part of Gascony will depend on the good supply of water that flows through our valley.

Over 80% of our water is used for steam condensation. The water is naturally returned to the Adour basin clean as it entered the plant, after cooling in the canal linking the workshop to the Adour.

Another undeniable advantage: hydroelectricity. Our processing plant uses 100% renewable electricity, with hydroelectricity a major part of the energy mix. This is possible thanks to our subscription to Energie d'ici, which supplies small hydroelectric power stations locally in the Haut-Adour valley.
