Co-founding partners

From 2023, the association of 3 engineers came naturally. Adrien, Régis and Richard coordinate the direction of PY'STILL on the ground in Bagnères de Bigorre.

Adrien Cousy

Phytochemist engineer

After 15 years of research in the world of plant extracts for cosmetics and food supplements, I decided to fully devote myself to PY'STILL, our company co-founded with Régis and Richard. Working for family-run companies founded by twentieth-century visionaries such as Yves Rocher and Pierre Fabre, I learned about and helped to shape a range of active ingredients for cosmetics. These experiences in Research & Development have forged my desire to continue to innovate, more modestly but more freely, to design new plant-based active ingredients, paying particular attention to the sourcing of plants and raw materials.

I'm keen to develop PY'STILL activities, starting with the Pyrenean witch hazel sector, which is our company's nugget. At a time when knowledge of phytotherapies is enabling us to make better use of natural plant resources, hydrolates and their uses are developing. The capacity of our processing plant will enable us to keep pace with this development, while ensuring that we can offer quality products to all the companies involved in this approach. What's more, our working environment in Bagnères de Bigorre, between the forest estate and the distillation workshop, is wonderfull, in the heart of a wild and authentic natural environment that we learn from every day.

Diploma

Master in Cosmétology, Faculty of Pharmacy, Paris XI

Plant biotechnology engineer, Paul Sabatier University, Toulouse

Bachelor in Biology of Pluricellular Organisms and Ecosystems, Paul Sabatier University, Toulouse

Régis Cazalas

Environmental Engineer

As a Pyrenean entrepreneur involved in high-impact projects, relaunching and sustainably reorienting a semi-industrial activity historically based in our region makes sense to me. Moreover, our local plant resources are already present in the massif, some of them organically grown and others naturally present. The pure water that comes down from the mountains gives a unique signature to the plant extracts that we produce, so that they can be incorporated by our customers into high quality cosmetic and food products.

At PY'STILL, I'm trying to build an alchemy based on 17 years of technical and managerial experience, around environmental engineering, sustainable development, the industrial sector, local roots as an ambassador for the Pyrenees Brand (VIP), economic development and business management, and public and private partnerships built up over time.

Diploma

Specialised Master, Expert in environment and sustainable development - Environmental engineering and management, ISIGE - MINES Paris

Professional Master's degree, Environmental Engineering - Geosciences, Paul Sabatier University, Toulouse

Richard Audet

Process Engineer

"The mountains win you over". As a Pyrenean by adoption, I confirm the slogan. At weekends in the mountain pastures and during the week in the hamamelis undergrowth or in the workshop.

As a hands-on person, I enjoy spending time looking after the plantations and the machines. PY'STILL facilities, while on a human scale, have significant capacity, enabling us to produce both small series and large volumes.

For me, the distillation of medicinal plants is the unexpected but perfect synthesis of some twenty years' professional experience, which includes advising on water treatment and operating industrial boilers, as well as running a pharmacy.

Water, water vapour and water chemistry have been my friends for a while. Combining them to produce active ingredients for health and well-being is an exciting new challenge.
