Ecological concerns
PY'STILL is a pyrenean society eco-friendly and innovative, fully involve in a continuous improvment process.
Our first step was to take over an hydrodistillation workshop existing 250 m² built in the Pyrenees in 1992. The location of our processing plant in the heart of the Pyrenees means that our ecological footprint is optimised and integrated into the constraints of an optimal Quality System.
Nous intégrons l’ensemble des enjeux de transition écologique et énergétique concrètement dans nos actions et choix au quotidien.
Our DNA
- Concentrated hydrolates, without prespervatives
- Organic certified products (AB by Ecocert)
- Managing internal plant resources in agro-ecology
- Guaranteed 100% renewable and local electricity consumption (hydroelectricity making up the majority of the energy mix)
- Monitored and optimisation of our Energy and water consumptions
- Spring water from mountains
- Carbon footprint (available data for customer)
- Biodiversity, soils and natural ressources preservation
- Circular-economy / Upcycling products
- Hand-crafted work
- Anchoring the Pyrenees region, ambassador for the new brand : Pyrenees
- Partnerships with public and private players in our sector and the region
THE DISTILLATION WORKSHOP
Located in Bagnères de Bigorre, our workshop is the hub of PY'STILL. It is here that we supply the plants for distillation. The quality system is designed to ensure that incoming products are kept separate from processed products right through to packaging. Access is facilitated for deliveries and dispatches.
This small steel plant was specially designed in 1992 to distil plants. Since 2000, it has been constantly upgraded to meet pharmaceutical and cosmetic standards.
Set in wooded grounds on the banks of the Adour River, which flows down from the mountains, we use a predominantly hydroelectric energy mix. Once the organic plant marc has been used up, it is composted on our site to enrich the soil as required.
